Happy Thanksgiving! It’s Saturday night, and I’ve had a delicious turkey/potatoes/stuffing dinner for the past three nights. But the leftovers are just about gone, so I think tomorrow it’ll be something else. Meanwhile, with the holidays and all, it was a pretty slow week for me on the blogging front.

Was doing a little shopping today at Wal-Mart when I saw this huge display of Littlest Pet Shop stuff … and couldn’t help but notice this one item which is advertised as an Only at Target.
WHOOPS!
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Took this photo a couple weeks back. This is the Christmas catalog haul that arrived at Casa McGee on a single day: nine catalogs! And every one of them was tossed in the trash immediately. Talk about overkill.
I think next year I’ll save every holiday catalog we get in the mail and see how big of a box we can fill. Guaranteed it’ll be too heavy to lift….

A good week is in the books. I did a live radio interview to promote U2- Diary, and got some more good reviews in the press, as you’ll see below. Also got started on holiday shopping, which should go quickly this year (I hope). Here’s how the week in blogging went:

Just checking out iTunes a little while ago, and they have a promo running for a LOST Season 5 preview video with music by The Fray, a band I generally like. It’s their new song, it’s a free download, so I decided to check it out … and near the end of the video there’s a super-quick flash on screen of some Asian-themed logo.
Needless to say, I had to stop and scan back through the video to find it and make a screenshot:
Here I am, getting all excited like I’m the first person on earth to stumble on this new piece of the LOST puzzle, when I decide to check out LOSTpedia to see if they know about it or not.
Duh. It’s LOSTpedia. Of course they do.
My guess is this is the airline that will bring the Oceanic 6 back to the island, wherever it may be now. We’ll start finding out in only 61 days!!!!!!!!

I had no idea, but it’s apparently true that U.S. presidents aren’t allowed to send email. Lifehacker has an article about how Barack Obama is being forced to give up his Blackberry for security reasons:
President-elect Barack Obama will have to give up the BlackBerry that he’s had literally by his side (clipped to his belt, a surprising fashion faux pas by the normally quite fashionable candidate). Because of security concerns, the chief executive is not allowed to send emails.
The article also links to a New York Times blog post in which President Bush talks about wanting to start using email again when he’s out of office.
Amazing. I had no idea. But I suppose it makes sense.
Now if only we could get all those Nigerian princes to stop sending email…..

It’s actually been three weeks since I’ve done a blogging recap. Let’s see … was sick two Fridays ago, and had company last Friday. Rather than recap three weeks, I’ll stick with just the past seven days.

There’s a bad Halloween-related pun in that headline. But since this latest roundup of Flickr photo finds is almost all Halloween-related, who could resist turning “trick or treat” into “Flickr Treats”? Not me.
Anyhoo … looks like several blogs found and liked my Halloween candy photo from two years ago. Here it is on Slashfood, an AOL blog:
That same photo (a personal fave of mine) was used in two other Halloween-related blog posts:
And the last photo find is from an article called Save $1000 in 30 days, on YBP Guide, which used my semi-recent photo of the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace Jr. set we’re using to teach the kids about money management.

… until the season premiere of LOST.
On Wednesday, Jan. 21, Lost returns with a three-hour (you heard me, three-hour!) premiere. “Because You Left” and “The Lie” will air back-to-back, following a recap of the first four seasons.
