While the rest of us have to wait another ten days, Sparky got his Christmas present tonight: Dog Bed 2.0. (Only $20 at Costco!)
The little pad he’d been sleeping on was a) pretty darn dirty, 2) getting too small, and 3) pretty pathetic in terms of padding. He absolutely loves this one, and has been on it almost non-stop since we gave it to him. That’s good – less time in my office, crawling around the computer cables, etc.

He seems to be settling in already. It looks more comfortable than my bed — do they make human-sized ones?!
I found an old sheet over a bed can make life A LOT easier when it comes time to clean. I just throw it in the washer and the bed doesn’t have to be re-assembled.
@David — I think it IS more comfortable than human beds. If it didn’t smell like cedar, we’d buy several and use them when guests stay here. 
@Phil — great idea, thank you. We don’t have any old sheets at the moment, but a big, old towel is serving the same purpose. Cool.
