I must be doing a lot more driving these days (wink), because I had to fill up with gas on Tuesday for the 7th time this year. That’s less than a month (!) since my previous trip to the gas station.
Actually, it’s like the 6.5th time because I was low a few days ago and only put 10 dollars in the tank. But today was the 6th full fill-up. Just keeping track of this for the year to see how much I spend on gas and how often/seldom I have to fill up, since I’m basically the little old man who only drives around town anymore.
… I had to fill my car with gas today. Seriously. Only three times. My real estate agent wife, who drives clients all over town most days, sometimes fills up three times in a week!
Between having a car that gets good gas mileage and not driving much, I’ve become like the little old lady who only drives to the grocery store and back.
But this is a Good Thing, especially with the price of gas here between $3.80 and $4.00 right now. Yeesh.
(NO, that’s not the final tally. That’s an in-progress shot while it was filling up. Final cost for my 1999 Toyota Corolla, which was running on empty all week … $38-something.)
