I knew all along I was gonna go to this show. I also knew I’d be going alone.
But I waited and waited on buying my ticket. I kept checking Ticketmaster every couple days for probably 2-3 weeks.
Every time I checked, there was this one seat, all by itself, in the front row out by the extended/b-stage. It was like $700+, which I just couldn’t convince myself to spend.
Finally, the last time I checked, the price dropped to like $510.
Boom! Bought it right away and let the anticipation begin!
The show didn’t disappoint, and my seat was fantastic. Right on the rail, first row, where both Journey and Def Leppard spent a lot of time. (Cheap Trick, not as much.)
I’d seen Journey last year in Spokane — great indoor show. They were equally good and even better, especially since I got to see them up close and personal. In fact, at one point, lead singer Arnel Pineda walked the front rail giving high fives, and Journey’s official photographer happened to catch a photo and share it on their social media. That’s me in the purple cap up above!
Def Leppard was fantastic. Like, way better than I expected. Don’t know why I say that, there’s no reason not to have high expectations. But they were so tight. And the whole production of their show with video pieces and all was terrific.
Really, best $500 concert ticket ever!
